About The MU Equine Program's Online Horse Auction

Welcome to our Third Annual MU Online Horse Auction!  Many of these horses have been bred and raised by undergraduate students in coordination with courses taught at the MU Equine Teaching Facility. This fall, we are also selling two extraordinary geldings that were donated to our program for use in our Equine Behavior and Training Class.

Equine Behavior and Training Class
Each student in this & class has been assigned one of our horses as a “project horse” to train during the semester.

It is our goal to place these horses in quality, life-long homes.  To achieve this mission, all horses are sold with complete medical records, and detailed daily training journals of each horse’s training journey.  All horses are easy to catch, lead and tie quietly, and stand to be groomed.  Weanlings and Yearlings will be carrying a pony bit in their mouth and a saddle on their back by sales time.  Some of them will also be driving!  Older horses will be quietly started under saddle and progressing as appropriate for their individual personalities.

All proceeds benefit the MU Equine Program and support our students!

All bidding will occur on-line so that buyers will know the current price and can bid accordingly.  We will also be having an Open Barn Day to allow potential buyers to personally inspect our sales horses and see them being worked by their student trainer.
