Columbia, MO 65211 Peter Sutovsky, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Animal Sciences and Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. For over a decade he has studied mammalian spermatogenesis, fertilization, and pre-implantation embryonic development, with special emphasis on the gamete and zygotic ubiquitin system. He holds two US patents and was recently recognized as the inaugural recipient of the USDA-NRI Discovery Award. In high demand as a presenter, Dr. Sutovsky has been the invited plenary speaker at numerous international symposia in North and South America, Europe and Asia. His laboratory maintains active collaborations with scientists in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Slovakia, Czech Republic, South Korea, India, Chile, Japan and Argentina.

August 2006: Best Biological Paper of 2005. Microcopy and Microanalysis. Award presented at Microscopy & Microanalysis 2006 Meeting, Chicago, IL, July 31-August 3, 2006. This works stems from our fruitful collaboration with Dr. mark Tengowski at Pfizer. Look out for our new joint research report soon to be pre-published on the web site of the Biology of Reproduction.

September 2006: Peter gives two invited lectures at the Nordic Association for Andrology (NAFA) Meeting 2006, in Stockholm, Sweden. The meeting was held on cruise ship Birka; it was spectacular and our friends from Karolinska University were wonderful hosts.
