Welcome!

Block and Bridle is a national organization consisting of college students that are interested in the area of Animal Sciences. Members may come from any one of the respected agricultural fields. They do not have to be an Animal Science Major.

MU Block and Bridle is the Animal Sciences Departmental Organization.  The purpose of the organization is to promote a higher scholastic standard among the students of Animal Sciences and promote all areas of Animal Sciences  Block and Bridle also serves as a favorable environment to make and develop friendships that will last a lifetime.  Memberships ranges from students with a strong farm background, to students from urban areas.

Objectives of the MU Block and Bridle

  1. To promote a higher scholastic standard among the students and those interested in Animal Sciences.
  2. To promote Animal Sciences, especially all phases of student Animal Science work in colleges and universities.
  3. To bring a closer relationship among persons pursuing some phase of Animal Sciences as a profession.

Membership

  1. Any student registered in a collegiate course at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and who has signified his or her interest in some phase of Animal Sciences, or is directly associated with the Animal Sciences Department.
  2. Following initiation and payment of the initiation fee, a person shall be considered an active member of the MU Block and Bridle Club.
  3. Honorary membership may be conferred upon any person who has served Animal Sciences, MU Block and Bridle Club, and/or agriculture in general in the state of Missouri.

Meetings

  1. Meetings will be held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
  2. The time of each meeting shall be 7:30 p.m.
  3. The location of each meeting is the Animal Science Research Center room S147.
  4. If the meeting date, location or time is changed, it shall be announced at least one meeting prior to the changed meeting date.
