MU DANDY LIL BARNEY is the perfect combination of working and cow lines. He is very agile and athletic, and will be a great gelding for any discipline. His size and build make him particularly well suited for western working events. Barney is probably our quietest yearling, taking all new tasks in stride. By sale time he will be taught to carry a bit and saddle, as well as desensitized to a variety of obstacles. Due to his age, we recommend an experienced rider for Barney. After further training he would make a great family horse.
BLOODLINES: On his sire’s side, Sugars Oak Bar is and NCHA money earner and sire of World Champion, ROM Performance, and NCHA money earning offspring. He is sired by Doc’s Oak, who has been inducted into the NCHA Hall of Fame and $70,988 NCHA LTE. Clipper Zan earned an AQHA Performance ROM, and has sired NRHA, NCHA, and NSBA money earners. Zan Parr Bar is an AQHA Champion who has produced an AQHA Superhorse, World Champions, Superior Halter and Performance earners, and NRHA, NCHA, NSBA, and NRCHA money earners. Genuine Doc is an All-Time Leading Cutting Sire, NRHA All-Time Leading Sire, and sire of NRHA, NCHA, NRCHA, and Working Cow Horse money earners. On his dam’s side, Peppy Poco Dandy earned the Missouri Buckskin Associations All Around High Point Horse in 2007, as well as High Point Halter Stallion, High Point Dun Factor, and High Point Reining. Barney also carries the bloodlines of AQHA Hall of Fame horses Doc Bar (2x), Sugar Bars (3x), Peppy San, Two Eyed Jack, and Jackie Bee, as well as AQHA Champion and NCHA money earner Poco Tivio (2x).
